It’s another celebratory day for Africa as Limpopo’s golden girl, Sho Madjozi, brings home the trophy for Best New International Act at the well-renowned BET Awards 2019. The village sweetheart has been having a ecstatic 2019 thus far, fresh off the release of her first body of work, LIMPOPO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, to toasting a win at the 25th South African Music Awards for Best New Comer and one of the most sought out awards, Best Female Artist.
Taking to the blue carpet live in LA, screens back in SA were alight as we watched Sho Madjozi make history as the first South African female artist to ever win a BET Award. Head to head with other nominees Teniola Apata, Octavian, Headie One, Nesty and Jok’Air, we watched an emotional Sho Madjozi thank her fans and team, and more importantly gratitude towards her cultural background and support back home in Shelly Village.
Only half way through the year and this young rapper, songwriter and poet is already taking over the entertainment world.
A big congratulations to the Limpopo Champion on her win.
